How to take protective measures during the welding of stainless steel pipes?

Stainless steel pipes often need to be welded during use. In order to ensure the performance of stainless steel pipes, protective measures are needed, especially under special working environments. Today, I will tell you how to take protective measures during the welding of stainless steel pipes?

   1. Stainless steel pipes must be stored in a special warehouse, and stainless steel pipes and carbon steel pipes cannot be mixed. Anti-moisture, anti-collision, anti-ferrous metal pollution and damage.

  2. Tailor welding of stainless steel pipes must have a special workshop or wood board to avoid direct contact between stainless steel and carbon steel platforms.

  3. The steel wire rope for lifting the stainless steel pipe must be specially protected to avoid direct contact between the stainless steel and the carbon steel wire rope.

       4. Welders are required to use stainless steel wire brushes and slag hammers, and the grinding wheels used on stainless steel pipes are not allowed to be mixed with carbon steel pipes.

   5. Special tools for processing stainless steel shall not be mixed with carbon steel.

       6. Do not use steel needles or paint for marking on rusty steel pipes, and chlorine-free ink can be used for marking. Some damages caused during the processing of stainless steel pipes, such as welding spatter, arc damage, smoke spots and mechanical scratches, must be completely removed (after rough grinding with a grinding wheel, then polishing with a polishing machine). The welding method and welding materials of the stainless steel pipe adopt argon tungsten arc welding. Argon gas on the back protects all positions for single-sided welding and double-sided molding. In order to ensure the welding quality of stainless steel pipes, manual argon tungsten arc welding is used for welding of pipes, flanges (high-neck flanges), and non-butting branch pipes according to the feature that the joints of stainless steel pipes are mainly butted. The joint between the pipe and the casing adopts manual arc welding.
